A triangle is a 3 sided polygon sometimes. A triangle is also called the trigon. A triangle has three sides and three angles. A triangle sides and angles can be the same. This is called as an equilateral triangle. There are a lot of names that are given to various triangles. The sides of a triangle are given special names in the case of a right triangle, with the side opposite the right angle being termed the hypotenuse and the other two sides being known as the legs. All triangles are convex. That portion of the plane enclosed by the triangle is called the triangle interior, while the remainder is the exterior angle.

What is a median of a triangle and how to find the median of a triangle?

According to geometry, median of a triangle is a line segment which joins the mid-point to the vertex. Every triangle has three vertexes and three medians. When learn to find the median of the triangle, always remember that the three medians of a triangle will always meet at one point in the centre of the triangle. When three median are drawn on a triangle, it divides the triangle into 6 parts. These are 6 different triangles that are formed after medians are drawn. There are different kinds of triangles and the medians and the angles of the medians are different and based on the shape and figures of the triangle.

This is triangle ABC, and it has three medians- AMa, BMMb, CMMc.

G is the mid- point where all the medians meet in a triangle.

So, ag : GMa = BG : GMb = CG : GMc = 2:1

Consider the standard notion of the medians to be Ma, Mb, Mc

a, b and c are the sides of the triangle
